For Ode Eatery, we worked very closely with our client, who was also the chef running the kitchen. Because of that, we focused on extending the natural light into the unit through the large windows by creating the kitchen walls out of fluted glass panels. This created a playful interaction between the diners and the activity happening in the kitchen through movement and color.
The eatery is seasonal with an ever-changing menu; that aspect is reflected in the design through the eclectic choice of furniture pieces, creating a different atmosphere in each corner.
We relied heavily on fluted glass, micro cement, a graphic wood veneer, and beige stone to create all the main elements of the shop while adding color through the different furniture elements.
