We’re fortytwelve, a boutique architecture and interior design practice based in Kuwait. We work on commercial, retail, hospitality, education, cultural, and residential projects, always with an emphasis on clarity, function, and material detail. Being a boutique practice means we stay focused, taking on projects with intention and giving each one the close attention it deserves.
fortytwelve was founded in 2017 by Khaled Alawadhi, a University of Miami architecture graduate with six years of experience as a creative director and designer in the hospitality sector. His background continues to shape the studio’s work, bringing a deep understanding of customer experience and operational flow into every project.
Since then, we’ve shaped spaces that are understated yet precise, purposeful, and highly considered. Every project is guided by its context and our clients’ needs, with the goal of creating environments that are technically sound, visually clear, and built to last. This approach has earned fortytwelve recognition on the AD100 Middle East list in both 2024 and 2025.
